Adding Asian flavor to outdoor cooking

Epic Kalguksu @Namdaemun Market in Seoul, South Korea as seen on Netflix

Oh baby, where do I even begin. As I’m writing this, I’m being reminded of the my experience walking down a distance of food vendors and the scent of all different kinds of Korean food. One of my personal favorites is the Kalguksu – a korean main dish staple that consists of knife-cut wheat noodles with a tasty broth (can be flavored with fish, chicken or beef). There are add ins like dumplings and seaweed.

Before I went to Namdaemun, I didn’t realize the publicity this attraction has gotten. We went directly to the booth that had the ‘As seen on Netflix’ sign. And, boy, it DID NOT disappoint. Each bowl was price at around $6 USD. The seating arrangement wraps around the kitchen, so you’re basically watching the food being prepped and eating the food creation right before your eyes. Quite a fantastic experience I’ll say.

The noodles were doughy and absolutely divine to eat. It was a colder fall day so having this broth and delicious dumplings were an absolute treat!
